Sustainability / Code of Conduct
Code of Conduct.
This Code sets out the standards of conduct for DON TEX’s operations and the expectations for our suppliers.
Respect and dignity
Everyone working in or with our operations should be treated with respect and dignity. Treatment that is degrading, threatening, or humiliating is not acceptable.
Prevention of child labour
Child labour is not tolerated. Workers must meet the legal minimum working age and the minimum age defined in applicable international standards, whichever is higher. Age is verified at recruitment.
Young workers above the minimum age are protected from hazardous work and night work as required by law.
Prevention of forced labour
All work is voluntary. Workers are free to leave employment with reasonable notice. Identity documents are not retained, and no recruitment fees or deposits are charged to workers.
Working hours and remuneration
Working hours comply with applicable law. Overtime is voluntary and paid at the legal rate. Wages meet at least the legal minimum and are paid on time, with clear payslips.
Workplace health and safety
Workplaces are kept safe and healthy. This includes safe buildings and exits, fire safety, machine guarding, first aid, clean drinking water, and sanitation. Workers receive relevant safety training.
Non-discrimination and equal opportunity
Decisions on hiring, pay, training, promotion, and termination are based on ability and performance, not on personal characteristics protected by law.
Freedom of association
Workers may join or form organisations of their choice and bargain collectively, in line with applicable law, without fear of reprisal.
Prevention of harassment and abuse
Physical, verbal, sexual, or psychological harassment and abuse are prohibited. Disciplinary procedures are written, fair, and communicated to workers.
Business integrity and anti-bribery
Bribery, facilitation payments, and improper gifts are prohibited. Business records are kept accurately, and conflicts of interest are disclosed.
Environmental responsibilities
Operations comply with applicable environmental law and permits. Chemicals are stored and handled safely, and waste is managed responsibly.
Supplier expectations
Suppliers and production partners would be expected to meet the standards in this Code and to allow verification of their practices where agreed.
Reporting concerns
Workers and other stakeholders can raise concerns about conduct covered by this Code through the contact details on this website.
Corrective action and review
Where a breach is found, corrective action is agreed, recorded, and followed up. This Code is reviewed periodically.
